I don't think it exactly hates me. I've gotten my greens that I've wanted (though some took more tries than I think they should have). I think GW must hate some people. Once when I was farming SS/LB points with a group, we came across a locked chest. Everyone opens it and they all get golds, except one guy who gets a purple...

Random droms have been quite random for me.

I've had my fair share of crap and then some, but I've also had a small number of really great drops as well. They balance out in my mind.

GW gave me a celestial rat after 25 lunar fortunes, so i'm grateful to have skipped that episode.

Yes, GW hates me. In over 3,000 hours of play since launch:

Black Dyes: Eight.
Ecto: around 10, but I rarely frequent places they drop
High end weapons: One.
Average # of golds drops while vanquishing an area: <2
Birthday minipets: All Whites!
100's of Tombs runs:3 or 4 victo's axes, Not one Bulwark, ever (ahh, remember when they were going for 100K+?).

No, GW doesnt hate me, and if it does, I still love it too much to notice. If I ever feel that it hates me, all I have to do is look at my weapon collection and think "well, maybe it isn't ALL bad".

Locked Chests hates everyone.

New PvE Shout skill:
"Break on a grape!" All allies within Shout range will be affected for 2..4 years. All chest will only drop non-max grape weapons with high requirements. All lockpicks will break.

I don't think Guild Wars loves or hates me. It just gives me the occasional good drop, but mostly junk.

But I don't see any constructive discussion rooting from "How lucky are you?".

I am beginning to think this game doesn't like me having a survivor. Was working on the first quest in the Command Post quest series, sent my 2 melee heros into a group of Corsairs, targeting their dervs, that immediately shot past my heros straight at me. 2 hits and I was dead. (269,547 xp). After 100 hrs 22 mins over 37 days, it was a shock. I had completed all the missions and quests up to Divinity Coast, completely cleared the fog up to there also. Mapped newbie isle and did several mainland quests in Factions, same in the training area of Nightfall. With all that I had done with her, rerolling is not an option. I went back out to finish that quest and 'punish' those guys for killing her. Instead of aggro control now, I aggro everything on the map, and guess what, even standing in the middle of a mob of 15 to 20 bad guys, none have even threatened my life.

I guess this game 'hates' me having a survivor.

Heh.. that happened to me. Only ever bought one mini as I really fancied a Burning Titan for my ele, paid 27K for it back when they were actually worth that much and sure enough one month later my assassin gets a Burning Titan.

Mind you, I've had pretty decent luck on all my other minis. No repeats and I got a Shiro and a Charr Shaman. Charr mini rawks.

played thousands of hours of gw and i can say this.... gw does not treat me well with drops...

So i never farm... i make money services...

I almost always get crappy equippable drops. The only decent things I've ever gotten:

Gold Elemental Sword - Q12, crap mods, inscripted
Gold Ivory Bow - the day before they released new bow skins....
Gold Fellblade - Q12, crap mods, before there were even inscriptions

Otherwise any rare or valuable skins I have, I've had to buy. I do okay on ectos though. 22 stored right now, and I've had 3 black dyes in 24 months, 2 of which I still have. Gotten 3 or 4 Superior Vigors, and I usually get a lot of the 500g-1.5k runes in my chosen farming spot, so I'm generally good on money.

In fact, for the first time in over 2 years, I bought ascended armor this weekend because I hit 200k in storage and had plenty of materials for it. Felt like splurging on that instead of gambling on chests like I usually do with my money.

Of course, in all this, bear in mind in more than two years I "only" have under 900 hours logged in.... many of those hours were not even spent playing because I walked away or went out with it still logged in (which royally screws up my machine if Windows locks the screen for more than a few minutes with GW still running...)

i don't think it hates me you just need to learn to do different things to get different items if you know the item doesn't drop often go and farm in your favorite farming place and get some gold

Devil's advocate: I get awesome luck with drops in my opinion and I've not even gotten CLOSE to 2 mil. So I think that if you've made that much, the game can't hate you THAT much.

As for me, I think the game likes me just fine, but I'm sure there's a few people in it that aren't too fond of me. :: snicker ::
